We are working on solving problems using numbers, pictures and words. Here is a problem we worked together on last week and how students tried to solve it:
There are 12 eggs. There are 5 kids. Each kid wants 2 eggs. Are there enough eggs? Are there any left over?
You can help your child at home with Math by posing real world problems to solve throughout the day.
- We have 5 people for supper. How many forks and knives combined will we need?
- There are 4 people and 17 Goldfish crackers. How many crackers will each person get? Will there be any leftover?
