Our Learning in Math

In Math, we continue to work on solving problems using objects, blocks, pictures and numbers.  We are also practising counting to 100 by 1s and 10s.   Every morning we practise reading the date on a calendar, the days of the week and the months of the year. You can help your child at home by:

• Posing real life problems such as "If we have 5 people in our family.  Each person has a pair of boots.  How many boots are by the door?"
• Read "Doing Math With Your Child" a publication by the Ontario government here
• Play card games such as Go Fish, Memory, Uno, War - all you need is a deck of cards :)
• Singing along with some of our favourite Math videos
